Unrealistic Beauty Standards Won’t Stop This Model from Owning Her Own Agency
What do you feel most accomplished for in your life right now?
“I feel most accomplished for still being alive today. There were times where I felt like I didn't belong in this world and everyone and everything would be much better if I didn't exist anymore.”
What would you say has been a significant moment in your life?
“Getting to shoot for Bobbi Brown's campaign has definitely been one of the biggest moments in my life. The set and everyone were just amazing!”
What is your greatest struggle?
“My greatest struggle has been accepting my body for what it is. In [the modeling] industry, you have some people who don’t accept you just because you aren’t tall enough or skinny enough.”
If you could do one thing differently again, what would it be and why?
“Actually there isn’t one thing I would want to do differently. Everything happens for a reason, and you have to accept that and go with the flow! Things happen the way they do so you can learn and grow; to become a better you.”
What is your biggest goal in life?
“My biggest goal in life would be to own my own modeling agency.”
What is your favorite quote and why?
“Would it be weird to say that I don't have a favorite quote? But I do have a lot that speak to me so much and keep me motivated.”
What is your biggest fear and why?
“My biggest fear is not being where I want to be in life. And I say that because I know I still have a long way to go, and so much work to do, to get where I want to be.”
What has been your greatest lesson in life?
“My greatest lesson has been learning to love myself, knowing my worth, and letting go of anything that didn't teach me those things. There have been times where I didn't love myself and people saw that and took advantage of me.”
What was your greatest worry as a model?
“My greatest worry as a model was that I wouldn’t be accepted for who I am. I'm not your typical model that you see in the magazines and on the runways, because I'm not a size 0-6, nor am I 5'6 and up. So I've struggled with that a lot.”
What’s been your most embarrassing moment and why?
“I have so many embarrassing moments and I think I'll keep them to myself for a while!”
